UFO Morning

Bring along any unfinished projects and receive help with anything – sashing, borders, binding, etc.

Jelly Roll Delight

Use one of the pretty jelly rolls to create an appealing quilt.

This project is suitable for beginners, or if you are experienced, come along and enoy putting a quilt together easily. (A jelly roll is a coordinated collection of forty 2½” strips available from Jennifer Bee or any patchwork shop.) In two lessons you should complete your quilt top.

Brazilian Embroidery with Chris Entwistle

Learn the basics of this beautiful 3 dimensional embroidery in this class.

Experienced Tutor Marion Dawson will explain the fibres used, demonstrate and guide you through the steps to successful Feltmaking.

The art of Feltmaking is not new, in fact it is a very ancient craft used by nomadic tribes such as the Mongolians centuries ago.

Explore the traditional method of Feltmaking adapted to today’s world in this fascinating class for beginners. A variety of fibres will be used to create a uniquely individual item of your choice.

Alison Cole: Fuchsia Fantasy

Join Alison in this class using many goldwork techniques. This project adorns the cover of Alison’s new book the Midas Touch and is stunning.

Part one will need to be completed prior to her second class in February.

Dates: Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September 2009

Saturday’s class will be spent covering the remaining facets of the Fuchsia Fantasy with Sunday’s class spent working on this project or working on a choice of Alison’s smaller projects ie Goldern Flutterby, Jewelled Dragonfly etc. or you may like to work on another goldwork UFO.
